Steve is Senior Counsel in the Fort Wayne firm and has more than 50 years of experience in the areas of estate planning, taxation and probate law, along with Medicaid estate planning, administration, and elder law issues. He is certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. He has lectured before professional and civic groups on topics relating to Elder Law, including wills, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, trust and asset protection planning. Steve is the Chair for the Elder Law and Trust & Estate Planning Sections at Beers Mallers. He was named “Super Lawyer” in the practice area of Elder Law each year from 2008-2018 and has been named “Best Lawyer” in the practice area of Elder Law for 2011-2018. Both nominations were the result of Indiana attorney peer reviews. Outside of the office, Steve enjoys traveling, lake activities and spending time with his grandchildren.
