The holidays are always a joyous time of the year. Family and friends come together to celebrate special times and getting the chance to spend time with the ones we love is a blessing.
However, we can also let ourselves indulge in all of the delicious foods that come with these times which can sometimes leave us feeling not so healthy when the holidays are over. Luckily there are some things we can do during the festive times that will both allow us to indulge AND help keep us healthy so that when the holidays are over, we don’t feel like we’re starting all over again with our health and fitness.
1). Why we felt it was important to dedicate an episode to talking about the extra weight we may put on during the holidays and how hard it can be to stay motivated to exercise.
2). Some of the main contributors that allow us to relax on exercising and maybe indulging a bit more than we usually do when it comes to eating during the holiday season.
3). Ways that portion control can help you maintain your diet during the holidays. Still partaking in seasonal foods and deserts but watching how much you consume will help in the long run.
4). Tips on maintaining your exercise schedule during the holidays and how sometimes even doing a little bit is more than skipping it altogether.
5). How the rush to start exercising and eating healthy is hard to maintain at the beginning of the year throughout the rest of the year and what you can do to help you stay motivated to keep up with your health goals.
