SALISBURY, N.C. — Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is offering a number of continuing education courses this spring semester to help individuals improve or enhance their careers.
“In the world of business, industry and entrepreneurship it is important to be knowledgeable about the changes and future of one’s field. In order to help the workforce of our communities stay current, Rowan-Cabarrus’ corporate and continuing education division offers occupational extension courses for professional certifications,” said Tricia Staggers, lead program manager for training services at Rowan-Cabarrus.Instuctor teaching students
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College offers both real estate pre-licensing and the required post-licensing continuing education courses for realtors. The next set of real estate pre-licensing classes begins January 8, 2018.
Rowan-Cabarrus instructors have strong background in hands-on sales, helping students learn the materials but also guiding them in ultimately becoming a better agent.
This real estate pre-licensing course is required in preparation to become a “provisional broker.” The course covers basic real estate principles and practices, including real estate law, contracts, brokerage practices, financing, closing, valuation, fair housing, property management, taxation, and mathematics and other related topics.
Rowan-Cabarrus provides affordable course offerings. Additionally, the courses are designed to set students up for success.
“A student can take all of their real estate classes with us – pre-licensing, post-licensing, and continuing education – to get them through the entire journey of the real estate career,” said Staggers.
Students who pass the in-class final exam are eligible to sit for the North Carolina Real Estate Commission exam that is required to become a licensed real estate broker.Student writing
