Through Program 60, residents of Ohio age 60 and older may register for regularly scheduled credit and non-credit classes on an audit, tuition-free, space-available basis. Registrations must be submitted in-person at the Enrollment Center.
Program 60 does not apply to non credit courses held at Corporate College West, Corporate College East, Workforce Solutions and selected courses at other sites. Please call 216-987-3075 for more information on non-credit courses.
Eligible
You are eligible if you are age 60 or older and if you are a resident of Ohio.
To become a Program 60 student, you must complete an application for admission. The application can be completed in person at any Enrollment Center or you may apply online. You will be assigned a student ID number which you will need when registering. If you have not taken a class at Tri-C within the past three semesters, you will need to reapply to the college.
Register
As a Program 60 student, you must register in person at any Enrollment Center. Program 60 registration is on an “audit” basis only. Audit courses do not receive college credit or count toward a degree. If you would like to earn college credit, you must register as a regular degree seeking student and pay for your classes.
Program 60 students must meet all prerequisites for credit classes. Documentation in the form of college transcripts may be required to confirm that prerequisites have been met.
Classes
Schedule booklets are no longer being printed. Our offering of classes can be viewed online. Go to www.tri-c.edu/programs and click on “Search for Available Classes”. Choose the term that you wish to take classes and click “Submit”.
Follow the bullet points to search for specific classes. You can view all classes within a subject area by clicking on the “Subject” and then clicking on “Class Search”. You can also filter your choices by campus or instructor.
When
To ensure that Tri-C’s degree seeking students are able to register for courses needed for graduation, Program 60 course registration occurs on specific dates. Please refer to our Enrollment Guide to view Program 60 registration start and end dates for each session in our upcoming Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.
Based on the Program 60 registration dates, if space is available and prerequisites are met, you may register as a Program 60 student.
Due to limited space availability in courses, you may not register first for a class as a degree seeking student and then change or reregister for that course during Program 60 registration.
