Joan Keston is a graduate of Bucknell University (B.A. in biology and economics) and Villanova University School of Law (J.D.), and earned an L.L.M. from the University of Miami School of Law. She has practiced law and worked in business for over 35 years. Joan is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and Florida, and is a VA accredited attorney. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the NC Chapter of NAELA, Elder Counsel, Wealth Counsel, the NC Bar Association, and the Elder & Special Needs Law and Estate Planning & Fiduciary Law Sections of the NC Bar Association. She serves on the committee of the Cape Fear Elder Abuse Prevention Network, serving Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover and Pender Counties, and is a member of the Wilmington Historic Preservation Commission.
