James was born in Bronx, New York in 1965 and is a graduate of Archbishop Molloy High School in Queens, New York. Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. John’s University College of Liberal Arts in 1986 and his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law in 1990. He was admitted to the New York State Bar and the United States District Court, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 1992. He was admitted to the Colorado State Bar in 1994.

After nearly 20 years as a sole practitioner, Jim joined Kerley, Walsh, Matera & Cinquemani, P.C. as a Partner in 2013. He manages the Trusts and Estates, Medicaid Planning, Elder Law, and Real Estate Departments.
