was born and raised in Farmington, Missouri. He graduated Cum Laude from Southeast Missouri State University, earning a degree in Law Enforcement. He received a Juris Doctor from St. Louis University in 1983 and, after passing the bar exam, returned to his hometown.

Kevan has served as both Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and Prosecuting Attorney for St. Francois County. He also served as a board member on the Missouri chapter of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). Kevan joined the Law Firm of Robert Manley as an Associate, then later as a full Partner, and built what is now MK&K, P.C.
