Lauren grew up in Des Plaines and attended Elk Grove High School. She is very close with her younger sister and parents, who only live a few minutes away. To this day, her dad is always lending a helping hand to her for anything that she might need. She received her undergraduate degree with honors, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina. After college, Lauren moved back to Illinois and attended The John Marshall Law School in Chicago where she took classes at night and worked during the day.
