Kent Ulmer Larsson is an attorney and founder of Tri County Elder Law on beautiful Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina. Kent helps seniors, Veterans, and those with special needs with estate planning while offering peace of mind to families in the low country and throughout South Carolina. Focus is given to helping families that are facing the high cost of nursing home care, protecting assets to enable an aging family member to live a life of dignity, advising clients and their families on estate planning, and preparing the documents necessary to ensure that their goals and wishes are realized.
Showing a special interest in supporting our military, Kent has chosen to focus his efforts on helping Veterans and their spouses to receive the VA benefits that they earned while serving our country.
Prior to founding Tri County Elder Law, Kent worked for a non-profit elder law clinic, an elder law firm, and served an externship at the local office of a non-profit corporation that advocates for the rights of people with disabilities. Kent first moved to the Charleston area more than 30 years ago and remains passionate about providing the best estate planning options available to South Carolinians as they grow older.
He is an active member of National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Elder Counsel, Low Country Senior Network, South Carolina Bar, Illinois Bar Association, and American Bar Association. Kent earned both his Juris Doctorate and Master of Laws in Health Law and Policy from Southern Illinois University School of Law. Kent is admitted to the practice of law in Illinois as well as his home state of South Carolina.
