When you were a kid, gift-giving occasions probably felt pretty easy. Handprint coffee mugs and popsicle-stick flower bouquets seemed like they’d never go out of style. Mother’s Day usually meant breakfast in bed for her, dish duty for Dad, and no fighting with your siblings…at least not until later in the day.
Yep. Mother’s Day was easy back in the day.
Now you’re an adult and things are different. Suddenly, Mom doesn’t want your turkey handprint or multi-colored construction paper chain anymore.
What a drag!
But in all seriousness, all Mom ever wanted was your love and appreciation. And, that’s still enough, even as you grow older.
