73-Year-Old Drummer Rocks the House on The Jennifer Hudson Show!
Get ready to be amazed! The Jennifer Hudson Show welcomed the coolest grandma you’ve ever seen: 73-year-old drummer Dorothea Taylor.
But Dorothea isn’t just any drummer – she’s been rocking the beat for a whopping 60 years! Even though there weren’t many female drummers around when she started, Dorothea knew in her heart that’s what she was meant to do. She shared that she even took piano lessons, but the drums were simply her true calling.
Dorothea’s passion is clearly contagious! On The Jennifer Hudson Show, Jennifer herself couldn’t resist learning a few moves from this drumming legend. Dorothea gave a quick lesson, starting with how to hold the sticks properly and then moving on to basic beats on the hi-hats, bass drum, and snare. Jennifer definitely had her work cut out for her, but she kept up as best she could!
By the end of the segment, Jennifer was left sheer in awe of Dorothea’s talent. She even joked that she might need another lesson!
