About Modular Home Communities
Senior mobile parks and modular communities exist to present seniors with an affordable, community-based lifestyle option. These neighborhoods usually operate in the same manner as what you'd probably consider a traditional retirement community, where there may be homeowner association fees as well as localized ordinances, and even amenities. Mobile and modular communities can be an attractive option to senior adults who are looking to downsize while also staying safe and social.
Mobile and modular homes are prefabricated, meaning they're built off-site, in a factory, and then transported to a permanent location.

Steadily going downhill. This used to be a welcome community in Gardendale until an out of state investment company, Roots Management, bought out the original private owner. In the three years since the sale the lot rent has increased each year. One-time incentives that came with the lot rent have been discontinued. There are more vacant lots in Peachtree than ever before and of course, no one wants to move in since the property has deteriorated so badly. Junk cars in driveways and yards, tarps used as covering for roofs. Residents using the backside of their lot as open storage areas and unkept yards and lots. Unfortunately, the current property manager is only a “rent collector” and does little to enforce the written covenants and regulations in the lease that is required to be signed by residents. I would definitely stay away from this propery.
