Mission Statement
The mission of San Jose City College is to serve our students and the community by offering high quality, relevant, and innovative instruction for basic skills, career pathways, university transfer, and life-long learning.
We strive to accomplish this by awarding certificates and associate degrees to eligible students taught in a multicultural environment where student achievement, successful learning and social justice are highly valued, supported, and continually assessed.

The Mission Statement was adopted by the College Advisory Council on April 01, 2016 and by the Board of Trustees on May 10, 2016.
The College Advisory Council reviews the College Mission Statement and ensures that all aspects of the College Mission Statement are being fulfilled. The College Advisory Council meetings are open to all for the opportunity to provide feedback and input.
