High School Equivalency (HSE) Testing Information
Crowder College Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) offers free AEL, and ESL classes in the four counties of Barry, Lawrence, McDonald, and Newton.
AEL classes offer assistance with high school equivalency (HSE) test preparation, basic skills review, and college and career transitions including Compass, NCRC-Workkeys and ASVAB preparation. Information about High School Equivalency (HSE) scholarships can be found here.
ESL (English as a Second Language) classes provide English language instruction. The aim is to improve speaking, reading, and writing skills in the English language. Necessary skills to function in life, social and business settings are taught. The classes include an integrated curriculum that incorporates civic education, emphasizes instruction of the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. The class aims to help students acquire skills and knowledge to become active and informed parents, workers and community members.
AEL classes are available at the following locations: Aurora, Cassville, Crowder McDonald County Campus (Jane), Monett, Mount Vernon, Neosho, Noel, and Seligman.
ESL classes are available in Monett Job Center and Monett Tyson, Neosho, and Noel.
