If they have a website, we head there to learn more about what they offer: amenities, location, pet policies, etc. If they don’t have a website, we try to find their social media profiles (usually Facebook or Instagram) instead. We also check Zillow and MH Village, as well!
2. Next, we read REAL resident reviews on places like Google and Yelp. We like to know what residents think of their community, both good and bad. For example, do they like their neighbors? Do they describe the community as friendly and welcoming? Do they say it’s too loud? Do they like the staff at their community? If a community has high ratings on Google but low ones on Yelp, we always try to figure out why the ratings are so different. Did one person have a bad experience, or have multiple users written similar complaints?
