Tim Conway, As the Oldest Man Selling Hot Dogs, Cracks Up Harvey Korman
Decades may have passed since The Carol Burnett Show graced television screens, but its charm remains timeless. Boasting an incredibly talented cast and some super sharp writing, the show captured hearts far and wide. Among these stars were the legendary duo, Tim Conway and Harvey Korman.
In one unforgettable skit, Tim portrays an elderly gentleman manning a hot dog stand, with Harvey stepping into the role of a hungry customer. The comedic chaos begins when a construction worker innocently asks for directions to the post office, only to be met with a series of hilarious mishaps caused by Tim’s character.
As the scene unfolds, a flustered businessman portrayed by Harvey takes a seat at the counter. It becomes apparent that both men are on the verge of bursting into laughter, their subtle smirks betraying the impending hilarity.
With impeccable manners, Harvey’s character places his order, requesting a hot dog and a chocolate shake. However, due to Tim’s character’s failing memory, chaos ensues, much to the dismay of the increasingly irritable businessman on the other side of the counter.
Despite Tim’s character’s valiant efforts to fulfill the order, his memory lapses lead to a string of comedic blunders, leaving both characters in stitches. By the 6-minute mark of the skit, as Tim comically juggles multiple hot dogs, Harvey struggles—unsuccessfully—to contain his laughter at the unfolding madness.
