So and welcome back everyone to answer for all this radio and we are here with Marcy Lobell e s Freek, who is the CEO and founder and General Council of Silver Bills, which is helping families manage finances, pay bills keep good records, especially if you’re dealing with, you know, maybe a senior with a fixed income, or whatever that is. And Marcia and I have just been talking in our first segment a little bit about, you know, where families are today in the country and how, you know, a lot of strife and situations happened that could probably be avoided by having a new trio party deal with the money management issues. And so, Marcie, welcome back. I’m glad you’re with us for this hour. Marcie, I wanted kind of open the hood and learn a little bit more about silver bills. I when I was contacted by a mutual contact that we have in common about what you do, I was so excited to talk to you because I swear probably at least twice a month I get talk to families that have issues in this area. Tell us a little bit about you know, obviously you serve many functions in, you know, in this manner, in this area, silison. So yes, as I mentioned, I started the company because I saw that there was really no national, ailable technabal pollution that was professional to this problem, and so I started, you know, talking to people in the senior Carey Industry about whether this was something that they had seen families experience, and everyone understood it, whether it was personal story about their grandparents or their widowed mom who had as who struggling with this, or the fact that, you know, every time and they went to visit their parents, they were inundated with paper. It was something that just resonated with almost everyone I spoke to about it and I really felt that it was a tremendous opportunity to create a social venture to help people, and that means, I know, we’re committed to helping people with this problem in a scalable, trustworthy way, and you guys help people across the country, obviously families, and you’re so amazing being a woman start up. I’m so envious of you because your venture capital based, and certainly that’s a dream for so many of us out there, and especially women. That started your own company based on your own digit in your own passage. So tell us like it’s someone who were going to look up silver bills and learn what you do. Tell us a little bit about your overall function and all the different phases of what you do. Sure so, as we as we talked about, a lot of information is at Silver Billscom, but at this point we have a whole team working, working together to accomplish our mission. When an individual or family wants to outsource this two professionals. They simply contact us, either through our website or through calling. Being hundred member and it’s a conversation. We have enroman advisors who will discuss with the family or the individual. Now the process works. Basically we have a very simple agreement. That’s think. It’s not a long term contract. It’s a month to month contract and our services a concier service. So if people want to get started, just with, for example, the water bill and then they just send that one bill to us, or if they want to, they contend everything to us. Yeah, that once and we meet people where they are. From a technology perspective, we’re not forcing people online and that really accommodates the needs of seventeen million older adults with no computer use at all. That’s according to the pre research studies. And we provide those individuals who don’t want to use computers with business reply envelopes to supply of those. So anything they get they can just put in an envelope and send it to us or IFIX and they will get paired with an account manager based in the United States who will do everything with them on the phone. Our tale managers use our software and our monitor through software and a lot of very sophisticated ai tools and fraud monitoring, but the ultimate client is completely optional. They can use it if they want, but they don’t need to. Yeah, and you know, I think about there’s so many seniors that maybe they only have, you know, a certain amount of money for the rest of their life and they’re on a fixed income, they may be on social security, and so they have to watch their finances very tightly and eventually they may have to convert to medicate, which can happen and matter of fact, I think the latest statistics is forty percent of seniors in long term care on Medicaid, which is pretty a rate. I mean when you think about it, that that’s you know, they’re outliving their money, and I know in every state it’s different, but I know in my state they do a five year look back of finances and so to be able to have adequate records is so valuable at in later life if there’s any sort of situation. And of course, you know, if you’re working with an elder law attorney or something like that, obviously there’s a lot of, you know, questions you’re going to be asked which could drive attorney seas if you have to have them do more work for you. So obviously this is a really, you know, important service that you’re offering. So if I’m a senior and you know, if I wanted to hire you, do you have how do I do I pay you, like a monthly fee, and what is it usually run? So we do have a monthly fee, but we also have some programs with municipalities. For example, the New York City Department for the aging paid us to provide free services to qualified New York City resident and they have a qualification process for that. The city of the ancres, we just want a grant to provide free services to the residents of Bath City as well as well as we also just learned that we want an our FP for the county of Malie Hawaii, and that’s going to be beginning in October. Twenty going on. So we literally can say that we are opera from coast to coast, as well as in between clients already in twenty states. So those programs are actually free for those individuals in those areas if they qualify. Again, people can contact us if they’re in those particular geographies to learn about that in terms of outside about the private pay, you know situation, the person to call the and enrollment advisor, and the service typically runs from between fifty and ninety nine dollars a month, depending on the numbers of build exactly. And you know, Susan, you meant. You mentioned this access to benefits. Not only do we help people qualify for a whole variety of benefits, because we provide a crowd based document storage system which makes it’s so easy to obtain any document for medicat or other programs with the, you know, touch of a button, even though the senior or older adult humor herself doesn’t have to use that. The attorney, as long as we have written authorization, the account, the social worker or deltchup can access all of that information in one secure online location. I do have to say we are part of the IBM hyper protect Acceler to program and, as a benefit of that, or documents and all of our storage is held in a club based storage system that is considered the fort knocks of data storage. So shadow to I be shout out to IBM for, you know, choosing us to participate in that incredible program providing us these days. Yes, yes, and for providing us with two years of incredible IBM technical and consulting experience, expertise for two years. So yes, it’s very, you know, simple to access those documents through the crowd for those individuals who are off runed. So when you say somebody has an account management manager, so they work with one primary person than always, is that correct? Correct on our clients really love that. They want to have someone on the other end of the phone who they know, who know that you know knows them and they have a relationship and honestly, one of the best parts of my week is when we have our team meeting and they account manager talked about those relationships and how they’ve really added value to people’s lives and allow them to age in their homes and they cases where they would have struggled to do that without our health sure, sure, and and obviously, you know, building that relationship. It’s also understanding that seniors values what’s most important to them and being able to have some of, you know, conversations with them that they may not necessarily want to have with their children. And you know, there’s certain things that may be more important, you know, important to a senior, like it’s important for me to tie it to my church every month, even though I don’t have much. But you know, again we go back to you know, I know for my mom, you know, there were certain things that were very important to her and one of those things was that, you know, she had a certain amount of money that she could spend every month and and yet, you know, it wasn’t the key to the kingdom. And we found ways that she could do that with a you know, I gave her a debit card. They gave her two hundred and fifty dollars a month to use whatever she wanted, right, and so that was something that we worked out as a family. But I’m sure working with like a power of attorney or someone like that in a family, there’s ways in which you can work those out. Is that carest partsy? Absolutely, I mean we have. We start off with our initial session on coming up with a budget and then our software provides a monthly statement that shows budget spend versus actual spend, as well as all transactions and the date and the are that everything was paid. So it really shows the full picture of an individual’s financial situation and really provides transparency to that individual, which I think is missing in a lot of ways. In our culture, you know, the best focus on financial well being. Well, I think this is really exciting and again, everyone, Marcie is so gracious with us, to all of our listeners, if you contact silver Buildscom, Marcie, what kind of a promotion are you running right now for us? We’re running a ten percent off our monthly rate for all of the listeners of this program out her elder. So just mention that and we’ll be happy to work with you and providing with that FADCAP. That’s awesome. And also you have a phone number to call. Yes, eight hundred and sixty six, six, five, three, four, four, two seven. That’s wonderful. So I want you to think about with your family, think about what’s most important, and is it most important that you sit down and and maybe lecture or get involved in something that can be somewhat difficult for your loved one, or is it better to say, mom and dad, guess what I got for you here? This is something really exciting. So I encourage each and every one of you to go to silver BUILDSCOM. I’m very excited about this organization and I am hopeful that we can do more with silver bills and helping get the word out, because this is an amazing service for our community, for older adults and for so many of our seniors and families out there to keep the piece and so everyone marcy will be right back right after this
